LAID DOWN:  2/27/42   LAUNCHED:  6/17/42   COMPLETED:  7/7/42

POWERPLANT (S):  3 engines @ 1,350 HP Packard liquid-cooled engines; 3 screws; 3 rudders; 3000 gallons 100 octane aviation fuel. Could accelerate from 8 to 40 knots in about eleven seconds.

DIMENSIONS:      Beam:   23 ft  8 in     Draft:  5 ft 3 in Length:  80  ft  

DISPLACEMENT:  38 tons

PERFORMANCE:   Maximum speed:  41-43 knots

ARMAMENT: Two twin .50 caliber Browning machine gun turrets; one located  on the   starboard side of the cockpit and one on the portside of the aft cabin, approximately amidships. A M3A1 37mm Anti-tank gun mounted on the bow. One 20mm anti-aircraft cannon mounted on the afterdeck. Four twenty-one inch diameter torpedoes, in launch tubes were mounted on each side, one amidships and one astern. The 37mm gun was the same as the one on the PT 109 .
